My dog has bald spots on his mouth. What could be the cause?

Those look like it may be a reaction to something he's come into cointact with. If you use plastic bowls, switch them out for glass, ceramic or stainless steel. If it clears up then plastic allergy is probably the culprit. If he's very itchy, rubbing his face, if he makes the spots start bleeding and/or if they spread, get him in to see your vet as soon as you can as this could be a symptom of a different problem.
