Thank you for the picture, it's helpful! I see some dry skin (dandruff) in the picture, but I also see what looks like some whitish lumps on Tank's skin. Those may be benign growths, but without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain. I do agree it's weird looking, and I think it should be checked out by a vet. It's not an emergency but I would see if you can take him into the vet in the next week or so. I hope this helps!

My dog has a dry skin patch above his eye, and I was wondering what it is?
Unfortunately, there is no way for us to tell what it is just by looking at a photo. Many skin issues can look the same to the naked eye. I suggest you have Tuck to the vet for an exam. The most common reasons for something like this would be: mange mites, ringworm, injury/scrape. Of course there are many other things it could. It is not an emergency but get him to the vet for an exam soon.

What are these bumps on my dog? Should I get him checked?
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I can't make out the bump in the 2nd picture very well. In the first picture the bump looks like a benign sebaceous adenoma. Some dogs, poodle and bichon breeds especially, tend to get a lot of them. In the second picture I can't tell if the area is crusty. Sometimes the sebaceous adenomas secrete thick brown discharge or if the bump is a scab from an infection. If the areas grow or spread I would have them looked at by your Vet. Otherwise the next time you have him in for an exam have them take a look. I hope this helps!

I just noticed a skin irritation with alot of flaky particles, not really sure if it's skin or not. I tried to get touch it and remove some of it and his hair is coming out in clumps. 5yo blue heeler with no known health problem.
Hi there, Thanks for the picture. It appears the wound itself is superficial, but with all the skin flakes, I worry there could be some type of skin infection involved. If he is itchy and bothered by that area, that raises my suspicion for an infection or other skin problem. I'd have him seen by his regular veterinarian this week for a physical, and they will guide you best on diagnostics or treatments after seeing him. In the meantime, you can clean the area with warm saline or epsom salt water and then let it dry. I wouldn't apply any ointments as sometimes these can trap and worsen an infection if present. Hello. While I cannot diagnose your pet, it does appear that we have a case of bacterial seborrhea here. There may be an undiagnosed underlying cause, such as hypothyroidism or he has developed an allergic response/sensitivity to something, so I would make an appointment to see your vet as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can bathe your pet in a medicated antibacterial shampoo if you can find one. One that contains chlorhexidine ( 2-4% ) or benzoyl peroxide should work well. You can bathe your pet 2-3 times a week. I would also start an Omega-3 fatty acid supplement such as Bayer's Freeform snip tips. Hopefully, this will help to clear things up, but try to see your vet soon. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Red bumps all on him I have no idea what it could be need help
Poor Tank! That rash looks pretty severe. It could be something like an allergic reaction, scabies, flea allergy or a severe case of puppy pyoderma. Because there are several conditions that can look like this and they all require different treatment, I recommend to take Tank in to see his veterinarian. The doctor will examine him and try to determine the cause for all those lesions. It’s likely he will get an anti-inflammatory and antibiotics. If parasites are suspected, he will get a treatment for those as well. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.

My dog skin is dry and he has patches like red small lumps on his belly and looks like bald spots near his hind legs
Hi there! Poor Onyx. The photos are a bit blurry, but I can definitely see that he has some redness and hair loss on his stomach and rear legs. There are quite a few different things that can cause these symptoms in a dog this age, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and run some tests. The most common possibilities would be some type of allergy, a bacterial or fungal skin infection, or skin mites (mange). Treatment will depend on what the underlying problem is, so I would recommend taking him to the vet for an exam when you are able to. He/she can do some simple skin tests if needed to help diagnose the problem and get him started on appropriate medication to treat it. In the meantime, if he seems itchy or uncomfortable, you can try bathing him in an aloe and oatmeal dog shampoo. This will not treat the underlying problem, but may help to soothe his skin and make him feel a little better until you are able to see the vet.

My 9 year old terrier has a bulge on her neck we didn’t see till yesterday after a shave. It’s pretty big but she doesn’t seem bothered by it. She’s more concerned with a dry patch that won’t go away and is losing fur there it’s almost bald.
This bulge could be a growth of some sorts. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of its cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. Once the cause of the lump is diagnosed, the vet can discuss treatment options if needed. Give Coco's vet a call to make her an appointment, and while there, the vet can check out the dry patch of skin.

Hi I’m from petco I have a customer that would like to know what this is, could you please help?
Sorry it is not possible to diagnose this from a photo. This needs to be seen by a veterinarian for a skin exam. This could be a fungal infection, skin tumors, bacterial infection and other skin conditions caused by autoimmune disease or even contact with a chemical or other irritating substance. I strongly suggest your client make make an appointment with his vet for an exam.

Dog has mole on back for years recently got bigger. Now 6+ more small lumps randomly all over. 1 ear has slimy gray wax. He is 10. No prior health issues. Skin very dry and flakey.
These lumps could be benign tumors, but in a dog Bo's age, there's always a chance any lump could be malignant. It sounds like he could have an ear infection and may have dandruff causing the dry and flakey skin. I'd have him seen by a vet today for these problems.

My dog has a large bump on the side of his muzzle. In addition it to scratching it he is frequently scratching elsewhere. I recently noticed these dry looking patches on the front of his leg at the bend. Any insight? I have attached a couple images.
It's a little difficult to tell from your picture, but I think the spot on the muzzle looks more like a skin mass or growth that could be infected or inflamed. The other spots look like they might be signs of a bacterial or fungal skin infection which can occur secondary to allergies. I'd recommend having your vet take a look in person.
