Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Long Coat) | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 23 days old | 4 lbs

A few days ago I noticed my puppy eye being alittle droopy almost as a lazy eye but about 2 days later I noticed his hair around his left eye is falling and when I take a close look at it I can tell it’s irritating him since he just blinks it like it hurts I do have 3 other dogs his mom & his dad & my male rednose pit all 3 males sleep in the same cage but I just want to know if it’s because something in his environment or the soap or an allergy or something more serious please.

I recommend getting this checked by your vet. It could be a small injury, it could be a form of mange, it could be an infection, there's no way to know for sure without an exam. Your vet will do an exam, probably a skin scrape of the affected area and based on these results, will be better able to tell you what is going on and what the best treatment will be.
