Puppy has swollen glands. Is it safe to get her vaccinations?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 12 days old

My 10 week old puppy was unable to be vaccinated on Monday due to swollen ‘gland’ (lymph nodes). She had had no other symptoms or worries, a great appetite, normal bowel movements, normal drinking and urination, and normal weight gain. So the vet was not concerned and asked me to bring her back in on Friday. My appointment was cancelled due to the vet having a Covid test and it has been rearranged to Monday. I can still feel them slightly but not as much. Should I be worried?

No, I would not be overly worried at this stage especially if she is eating and drinking and acting otherwise normal. I agree with your vet's recommendation. Just keep her away from other unvaccinated dogs/puppies until you can get her vaccines started.
