My cat's eye is red and watery. Is it pink eye or something serious?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Feral | Male | unneutered | 3 lbs

I'm not sure if my cat has pink eye and it will go away in a few days, or if it could be something more serious. The photos were only taken a few days apart.

Hi, and thanks for your question. That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a trauma or infection. A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well.
