My dog's paw is bleeding. Is it serious? When to call the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 3 years and 10 months old | 55 lbs

I noticed my dogs paw bleeding today and haven’t noticed her paw like this before could it be something serious?

It looks like she may have a small abrasion or had an insect bite and licked it. Keep an eye on it and make sure it stays clean and dry. If it does not improve over the net day or two or if it gets worse, get her in to see your vet.

    Bailey is a great name. It is possible she snagged her toe nail and that cause some bleeding or she cut her paw. I would apply gentle pressure and monitor it at home. If it does not stop bleeding, has smelly discharge, or has any swelling I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian for a good exam and possible medications. Hope that helps
