My cat Mocha is squinting her right eye and it seems to have some discoloration to it, this happened in the past once, shes still very young. The first time this happened it went away in a few days and her eyes were both normal again, so we thought it was just her having a small cold or something. But now that it's back im worried it might be cataracts. The thing is shes still young so that wouldnt make much sense right? Attached are two photos of her with her eye visible.

It is very difficult to see the eye with this far away from it; however, based on your description and her age, the top possible cause for this would be a herpesvirus conjunctivitis which can cause many other problems including edema (fluid filled eye). I would highly recommend taking Mocha to your local vet soon to have this eye fully examiend and treated. If there is edema (blue haze to the eye), it needs special medication to stabilize the eye to hopefully prevent permanent damage there. Best case scenario is that there is just conjunctivitis (inflammation of the conjunctiva) and this can be treated quickly in most cases with medication through your vet. I hope that Mocha's eye issue resolves soon! Best of luck moving forward. Take care. : )
