My dog ate small 1/4 alcohol swab pad what should I do will she be okay?

A small one shouldn't cause Bella any problems. It would be concerned if it was a large one, as large amounts of the alcohol would cause immediate problems, usually within 30 minutes. You don't need to do anything but make sure she doesn't eat any more! I hope this helps!

This will likely pass on its own. I do not think you have to worry. Just in case it does not pass per vias naturalis, and causes an obstruction (unlikely), watch for diarrhea and retching and lethargy. If that occurs Scout needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. But as I said, it is unlikely. The little bit of alcohol on the pad might make him tired. And the pad, being paper tissue, should somewhat dissolve and pass.

My dog just ate a 70% isopropyl alcohol prep pad for my screen protector. It wasn’t that big. Are there any Major symptoms I should be worried about.
The isopropyl alcohol is unlikely to cause a problem, and if the prep pad was small and made out of paper-like material it shouldn’t cause a problem in the gastrointestinal tract either. You should watch for vomiting or diarrhea but I doubt C will have any issues.

My mom left a bottle rita on the floor its frozen and open chewy will lick on top of the bottle and lick the alcohol I don't know the percentage of alcohol the rita has will he be ok, I'm not home so I cant get to him

Your dog licking a very small amount of alcohol should not cause him any serious harm, although depending on the alcohol content it may cause him to become slightly drunk. This can cause wobbliness/ataxia, lethargy, vomiting. If you notice any of these signs, he should be seen by a veterinarian. Otherwise, he should be OK, and I recommend requesting that your mom not leave any alcohol within Chewy's reach! I hope this is helpful!

That was naughty of Luna to get ahold of this wipe. Luckily the wipe is bleach free, which is great! Likely she didn't eat it, but keep an eye on her for excessive drooling, mouth pain, lethargy, and decreased appetite. If you see any of those signs, have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

Yes, as she only ate one she'll be fine. She would need to eat much more to make her sick. Please try to keep human food away from Bella as it can give her an upset stomach or diarrhea. Chocolate is the worst toxicity as dogs love chocolate, but grapes or raisins can cause kidney failure so please be careful with those things also. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Winnie. Dogs can feel the affects of alcohol similar to how people do. Being much smaller though, they are more easily affected. That being said, if she is acting fine two hours after the incident, then she will likely be ok. It would not be possible to induce vomiting as she ingested such a small amount. Monitor her closely for the next couple of hours. If she acts intoxicated, stumbles around or vomits, you will want to seek emergency care. I hope this information helps!

Hi there. It's very possible that the pad may pass through his system without causing any problems, especially if he chewed it into pieces first. Or, he may vomit it up on his own. The biggest concern would be that it might become stuck in his intestines and cause an obstruction. Symptoms of this problem would include repeated episodes of vomiting, not eating, acting lethargic, and not having regular bowel movements. If any of these symptoms are seen, then you should take him to the vet right away for an exam and x-rays. But as long as he's acting normal (eating and drinking, no vomiting), you shouldn't need to worry. If he does develop any problems, this would likely happen within the next 2-3 days - so after that, you should be able to relax.

Don't worry, this is unlikely to cause any issues. Most small pieces of plastic and cloth and other material pass just fine in the stool, if the puppy doesn't vomit it up first. If Snowball is vomiting over and over again tonight or tomorrow, or doesn't seem herself, then she should see a vet. Otherwise, she'll likely be just fine! Hope that helps!

If she threw up right after ingesting alcohol, most of it should be out of her system. If she appears normal and does not act drunk then she likely is ok. If you notice any abnormalities, take her to your vet for an exam and supportive care.

My 6 yo pom-terrier mix ate part of a pee-pee pad (palm size). What should I do?
That's a tough one. Simba is so tiny, so a palm size sheet of plastic could possibly cause an obstruction or could pass through in the stool. Your options are to wait and hope it passes, but take him to the vet if he starts vomiting or having a decreased appetite or energy level for x-rays and possible emergency surgery. OR, you take him to an emergency clinic now that has an endoscope and see if they can remove it (which would still require general anesthesia and may not be successful because the plastic may just fall apart when they try to pull it out). There's not a clear right answer here because their are risks with both options. I'd give him a 50-70% chance of passing it on his own. I wish I could give you a more definite answer, but I hope that helps you decide how you want to proceed.
