I see what you mean. He could be squinting because the light is painful to his eye, and it may be he has injured his eyes or has an eye infection. Any eye problem is an emergency because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I'd take him into a vet right away to get checked out. Best of luck.

    This could mean that Morgen has hurt her eye. She's squinting because the light is painful. I would have her seen by a vet asap. Any eye problem should be considered an emergency because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I hope this helps.

If there is an emergency vet within a reasonable distance, I would recommend that Willie get checked out sooner than later. Eye problems can be very painful, and can go from bad to worse very quickly (even overnight). There can be many causes of squinting an eye, including something stuck under the eyelid, corneal abrasion or ulcer, autoimmune disease, among a few others. Without personally seeing it I can't be certain, but what you may be seeing with him "looking to the upper right" is the effect of a raised third eyelid covering the inner part of the eye to make it look weird. You can try to flush the eye with a saline eye rinse, but do not apply any medications topically. Keep him inside in a dim room since bright light makes many eye problems more painful.

My cats eye is swollen
His eye does look swollen! He could have injured his eye or he could have an eye infection. The eye is such an important and delicate structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take him into a vet immediately to diagnose what is causing his eye to be swollen so it can be treated.

Hi, i noticed one of my cats eyes is turning a foggy brown color when her eyes are usually light blue, we tried giving her pet eyedrops from the local pet store but they havent really done much. I was wondering if anybody knew what this was?

If you are noticing squinting, I recommend to have her examined. Squinting generally indicates pain and this could be from an infection or an ulcer on the cornea. Also, make sure she is not rubbing the area as this can make it worse. Stormy may need to wear an elizabethan collar. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

He may have something in it like a hair or he could have injured it somehow. Place an e-collar (cone) on him and have him seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. A potential eye injury should be addressed sooner rather than later to prevent unnecessary pain, permanent damage or loss of vision.

When they squint the eye they do that because it’s painful; so she is in pain. Usually they squint because there has been an injury to the cirnea. I suggest you get her to the vet for an exam. Eyes are very delicate organs and can go from bad to worse quickly. I don’t think you need to rush her to the ER but try to get her in tomorrow to see your vet.

I would recommend to take Sylvester to the veterinarian sooner rather than later. Squinting the eye can be due to infection, a corneal scratch, uveitis or even glaucoma. The haziness is very concerning as this can indicate a worsening of the condition. The longer you wait on some of these conditions, the worse they can become so getting him in quickly is best. Additionally, some of these conditions can be painful. The doctor will likely stain the eye to look for any scratches, they may also check the pressure within the eye is glaucoma is suspected. Sylvester will likely go home with eye medications, possibly pain medication and an elizabethan collar to prevent further injury to the eye.
