My dog has pale gums, vomiting, and is lethargic. Is it an emergency?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Female | spayed | 10 years and 5 months old | 30 lbs

My 10yo 30 lb Australian shepherd spayed female pup Hottie has been acting clingy, pale gums started yesterday no vomit but small poop and hasn’t pooped since. Seemed better until eating today and now doesn’t want to walk much and regurgitated breakfast. tried walking. Not sure if emergency or should take her to vet when open on Monday.

Hello. Having pale gums is a sign that Hottie may need immediate attention. This is something that should not wait until Monday. I do hope you can have her seen soon. Good luck & thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
