I'm so sorry to hear that Bo isn't feeling well! I agree with Dr. Melanie that the blood in his mucus is pretty concerning. I'm glad to hear that he has an appointment scheduled for Monday. Your vet will be able to perform a full physical exam and any needed diagnostics. One of the most common causes of coughing, congestion and nasal discharge, particularly in kittens, is an upper respiratory infection. These infections are typically caused by viruses, like herpesvirus or calicivirus, but some kittens can also get secondary bacterial infections. As long as Bo is still eating, drinking and acting normally, and seems to be breathing normally, it should be okay to wait until his appointment on Monday. However, if anything changes or he shows any breathing difficulties, you'll need to take him to an ER vet right away. I hope that he feels better soon!

Oh no, poor Bo. What I'm concerned about is that he has blood in his mucus, which is not normal. I can't say if he will be ok or not without seeing him in person, but he doesn't sound ok at the moment. I think it's best he gets checked out by a vet immediately, and I urge you to take him into one now. Best of luck.
