Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | spayed | 3 years and 2 months old | 20 lbs
My dog jumped off the couch Friday and yelped but seemed fine walking after. But the last two days in the evening she has been shaking and panting and when she gets up too fast she yelps. During the day she seems ok but either wants to stand or sit but laying down for too long bothers her. I've touched her legs and back and she doesn't seem to mind ...she is eating, pooping and peeing fine. Should i take her to the ER?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Lexi. I do recommend that she sees an emergency veterinarian today. It sound like the issue has gone for a while without resolution. Her behavior suggests that she is painful. The veterinarian will examine her and may recommend x-rays of the affected area. Based on tese results, treatment can be started to help her feel better. She could be experiencing back pain as this is common in her breed. A soft tissue injury is also possible as is joint pain. In the meantime, do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as these can be toxic to dogs. I hope this information helps!
