Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 24 days old | 65 lbs

My dog is nonstop barking in his kennel he barks when we leave and while we are home and all night long. He gets plenty of exercise and play time. We’ve tried to ignore it but it doesn’t work. He will continue to whine and cry. He does have another dog to play with. And he goes potty severo times a day.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Percy. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian to discuss his behavior. He may be developing separation anxiety. This can be a difficult condition and is easier to manage when intervention starts early. The veterinarian will examine him and make sure that physically he is healthy. Then behavioral modifications can be discussed. Some times medications are needed in extreme cases. I hope this information helps!
