Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 8 years and 2 months old | 14 lbs
I’ve been advised to take my cat to the vet for a checkup because he’s been more jealous and aggressive toward my little dog. At night he will stalk her on the bed with me and I have to intervene before he attacks. He’s always been very alpha in personality but seems to have decided to act on it recently. I take very good care of my animals. I brush their teeth and feed them expensive food and play with them. I am confident this is not a health issue, I am very observant. What would vet check?

The vet could do a physical exam, blood work, and a urinalysis. It is a good recommended to take Banny into your vet for a health check when they are suddenly acting differently. It's the best way to know for sure that there isn't an underlying health problem, and behavior changes are often the first sign of a health problem in cats. When they are in pain or feeling sick, they can act aggressively. I do recommend the vet visit. Best of luck.
