My mouse's body looks lumpy. Is it a tumor or other health issue?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Mouse | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 0.04 lbs

I am concerned about the shape of my mouse's body. Is this normal? She is not pregnant. She has been housed with 5 other female mice for over a year.

I would recommend having Peachy examined by a vet. Mice can develop tumors just like humans, and with the small size of their body, it can be some obviously large very quickly. A vet will do an exam and determine if this is the case. If it is, they can discuss treatment options and help you watch out for signs of decreasing quality of life.
