My new puppy poops too much and cries in her crate. What's wrong?

I just got a white German Shepherd puppy and she poops approximately 8-9 times per day, she also cries a lot when I put her in her crate. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | 1 month and 9 days old

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Noelle. She is defecating more than is normal. Most dogs will only have two to three bowel movements per day. I recommend that she sees a veterinarian. She needs a new puppy exam, fecal testing, deworming and to discuss her diet. If she is healthy, her vaccines can be started as well. Some puppies will have soft stool due to the stress of coming to a new home. It is important to have her evaluated though as parasites are also common in puppies. Some can be spread to humans.
