My cat has a black thing near her anus and now a red spot. What is it?

My female cat had a weird / strange black thing or black things stuck to her near the anus. I dunno since when she had it, but I've noticed today. She's also in the heat period which started about 1-2 days ago. Initially I thought it's a kind of a bug or something. I tried to pull it out and I succesfully did it, but I'm not sure what it is nor if I did a bad thing. She was left with that red spot now I'm very worried about her and about what I did. The red spot in your final picture appears to be separate from the anus though. In this case, an anal gland abscess or infection could be the cause.
