Can I use Revolution for 10-20lb puppies on my smaller 9lb puppy?

I have a puppy that weighs 9.3-9.6 pounds, can I safely apply brown Revolution meant for 10-20 puppy on him, if I let say apply a little less that there is in a tube? will it be safe? Right now I have a problem getting the other Revolution from the vet I only have brown box. thank you for your reply. Pet's info: Dog | Poodle | Male | unneutered | 9 months and 2 days old | 10 lbs
