Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | neutered | 13 years and 7 months old | 49 lbs
Updating my first posted:Gus has had only three legs since he was 5 months old. He now is 13 and has cataracts to where he is losing his sight rapidly. He has by all I can research stage 4 Arthritis, he has a lot of trouble rising and walking he is now losing some control of his bowl movements. All happening quickly this year.Vet had him on Meloxicam (trail) which seemed to help with his mobility some but still struggled. Is there anything else I can do or should I go ahead and put him down?

Poor Gus, he sounds like he's really struggling and is in pain. Unfortunately dogs reach a point where medical intervention won't help anymore and letting them go is the best option. It sounds like his quality life has declined pretty far and based on what you are telling me, it does sound like letting him go would be best for him. I know it's a hard thing to hear and do, but you don't want him to be in pain. I'm really sorry :-(
