What is this black, bloody bump on my dog's stomach? Is it a tick?

Hi, I noticed a. black bump on my dog's stomach and it looks like there's some redness or blood around. Is it a tick? I've attached 3 photos

Based on the pictures, it does not look like a tick. It looks like a skin mass. Have your vet take a look at him to determine exactly what it is. Your vet may want to aspirate or biopsy to diagnose.

    Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bash. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian. He could have a cyst that has ruptured with some of its contents appearing black. There is also a fly larva that can be seen emerging from the skin. This is called a cuterebra. His veterinarian will examine him and be determine the cause of the mass and if any treatment is needed. Hi. I need to know if this is a tick. Keeps bleeding when I touch it. Stops after. Dog has not left our yard for ages.
It doesn't look like a tick to me, but it's hard to tell. It may be a mole or wart that has gotten irritated or caught on something to make it bleed. If this has come up suddenly, I recommend getting it checked by your vet. If it is a growth that has suddenly appeared, it should be checked to identify what kind it is and whether it should be removed or if it can be left alone.

My dog had a reddish bump on his stomach. Any idea what it is? It continues to get larger
It's hard to say for certain from the photo, but it may be a type of skin tumor. I am concerned that it appears to be a very dark red color and is hairless. Your vet may suggest a needle aspirate or biopsy to determine if the growth is cancerous or not. It may be more apparent in real life that this is something else like an insect bite or sting, or a skin infection. A veterinary physical exam is the best recommendation.

My dog has a wired cluster of black lumps on stomach about the size of a £2 coin
It is hard to tell from the picture what these could be. Sometimes growths of the oil glands in the skin can appear this way. Infection can also be black and crusty. Melanomas can also appear as black growths on the skin. I would recommend that you take her to see your veterinarian so they can take a sample to diagnose it so that you know what it is and what needs to be done about it.

Hello. My 10yo dog chrlie she has small harmless lumps. But just spotted this one. Is it a tick????
While hard to say without seeing her in person, this does not have the appearance of a tick and looks more like a small skin growth. Ticks are usually dark in color, black/brown/maroon and once full of blood can have a pale grey appearance.

My dog has a red raised bump on her stomach. We just noticed it today. It has a few (5+) small holes throughout it, where blood is coming out. Any idea what this could be? Doesn’t seem to be irritating her.
I'm glad to hear that Ivy doesn't seem to be bothered by this lesion, despite how inflamed and irritated it appears. While it's impossible to say definitively what the cause of this lesion is without further diagnostics, I can say that it's possible that this could be an irritated insect bite, or a benign or malignant mass. Given the irregular surface of this lesion, I think a bite/sting is unlikely, but the possibility shouldn't be ignored. Since it's so red and obvious, we have to assume that it popped up pretty quickly since you're just noticing it. As a result, I do think that you should have this checked out by your vet in person in the coming week. After an exam, your vet will likely want to perform a fine needle aspirate, where they'll use a needle to draw out a few cells for microscopic evaluation. That will help them to determine if this is more of an inflammatory/infectious issue rather than a more aggressive lesion. In the meantime, be sure to keep a close eye on Ivy. If she

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be a benign or malignant growth. There is no way of knowing what it is just based on its appearance. This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. Is this a tick? Its on the back of my jack russell chi cross. It doesn't seem to be bothering him. See the very bottom of the picture
Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. What you are seeing looks to be a benign skin mass. It looks like what we call sebaceous adenomas, basically a benign mass of the glands in the skin. This is not a tick and I would not be alarmed by this. If it continues to grow in size, drastically change in appearance or all of a sudden it is bothering him, I would have a veterinarian examined him to perform additional tests on this Mass to ensure it is nothing to be concerned about. This looks like it could be a cyst or a skin tumor like a hemangioma. I find that once a skin growth ruptures it tends to happen again, so I would definitely recommend making an appointment to see your veterinarian. They will probably recommend surgically removing this growth.

Small dark bump on belly that keeps filling with blood and is easily popped with little pressure. Doesn't seem to bother her.
Hi, sometimes dogs can get blood blisters usually on their underside. If it's not bothering her, leave it alone. Iy may go away on its own or stay there. If you think she's bothered by it, she should see a vet about getting it removed. But it doesn't mean anything bad is going on. Good luck, I hope this helps!
