My miniature poodle ate too much wet food and vomited. Bloat concern?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Female | spayed | 8 lbs

My miniature poodle, older age unknown, ate a lot. It was wet food. She vomited some of the food and seems to be breathing normally and is sleeping right now. Should I be concerned with bloat?

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. As long as Padmae is comfortable and the abdomen is not swollen or hard to touch, you should monitor her at home. Typical symptoms of bloat include discomfort, abdominal enlargement, pacing, retching and trying to vomit. If you notice any of these symptoms you should get Padmea checked by your local vets as soon as possible
