What's this weird spot on my cat's nose? Is it blood or infection?

My cat has this weird spot on her nose. It kind of looks like blood but not completely. Im not sure if its just from playing with our other cat or if its an infection.

I see what you mean about the spot on Sheshe's nose, but it doesn't appear to be infected in the picture. It may be from playing with the other cat. I would keep an eye on it for now. If it gets worse, starts to bother her, it turns red, swollen, warm to the touch, or you see pus, then I would have her seen by a vet for it. I hope this helps.

Thanks for reaching out! That area does not appear abnormal. It may be that she scuffed a small amount of hair off or had a scab that fell off. The skin looks very normal and healthy. I would just monitor it for changes in color, itchiness, or if it begins to progress and notify your veterinarian if so.

Hello I noticed some blood underneath my cat’s nose. Her behavior is normal, She’s playful and her appetite is same as usual, She’s able to eat and move her mouth, She’s not feeling any pain also. Should i worry? Thank you
Is that just frank red blood or is that a sore? It is hard to tell from the photo. Either way, I think you can give it some time to see what happens. If there is no more bleeding then you can just monitor her; if it happens again she will need to see a vet. If it is a sore, it may resolve on it's own but if it doesn't show improvement in 4-5 days then she should see a vet.

My cat has small black in color nodule on his nose close to the tip less then an inch in diameter. Should we be concerned?
From the pictures, it looks as though what you are seeing may be from trauma. Cat scratches to the face commonly occur on cats that are outdoor cats. Many times the hair will not grow back and the cat will be left with a small scar. If canto is indoor only and the nodule is raised, I would say get a vet to examine him to see for sure what it may be. It could be from a bug bite or a skin tumor of some type. If you cannot get to your vet right away, I would say just monitor for now and if it worsens get him seen sooner. It does not look infected or swollen from the picture. I would monitor for signs of infection which may include swelling, redness, painful to the touch, discharge, etc. I hope this helps! My cat was recently hit by a stray cat in the nose, which was bleeding. Should I be worried? Will he get infected?

I left my cat with my parents a few days cause I was out of town and I notice something weird on his nose when I came back should I be worried???
It may be Leonidas has an infection on his nose causing this skin issue. I would not be worried but it should be checked up by a vet. I would have him seen by a vet on Monday to have this diagnosed and treated. I hope this helps!

What is this mark on her nose?
The mark on Cleo's nose looks like a bit of crusted fur. This could be due to a scab from scratching herself, or could be the start of a mild bacterial or fungal infection. As long as it doesn't seem to be bothering her, it's perfectly reasonable to keep an eye on it for a week or two before taking further action. If it gets better - problem solved! If it stays the same or gets worse, it would be best to have it checked out by a vet. During the exam, your vet may need to scrape a sample of skin cells to be examined under a microscope to get to the bottom of this issue. I hope that everything goes well!

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Masha. Poor girl. She may have injured herself, and then she keeps licking her nose, making the area worse. It may now be infected. I'd take her into a vet this weekend, she may need antibiotics. I hope this helps!

My dog was scratched by a cat a week ago and now a part of her snout is swollen bleeding and very raw and painful is it an infection.
This most certainly could be an infection, especially if it has been a week since the scratch and it looks like this. If it is bothering Tigre, she may be rubbing her nose on the floor making it much worse. I would recommend having this examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. She may need an oral and topical antibiotic for treatment. Should I be worried about this red irritated spot above my cats eye? It isn't bleeding or scabbed. She's 100% inside only, no other pets, no food changes or other changes.
It doesn't look too bad in the picture. Poppy may have injured herself by rubbing her face against something in the home. I would keep an eye on it for now. if it gets bigger or appears infected (redness, swelling, warm to the touch, pus), then have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

I see what you mean about the spot on Tinker. It could be that he injured himself while you were away, and that is the cause of the spot. I'd keep an eye on it for now. If it gets bigger or doesn't heal, or if you see signs of infection such as redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, or pus, then I would have him seen by a vet for it. If he will let you, you can gently clean it with warm water and antiseptic soap. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
