Is it safe to drive my cat in a car without AC on a hot day?

Is it ok to take my 3 yr old healthy cat on a 1 hour 10 minute car journey (without aircon) this morning, if I bring lots of wet towels and ice packs to surround her carrier? (It’s due to be around 27 degrees celsius when travelling.). Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed

Hello. If you will have the windows down, or at least good air flowing through your vents, then this temperature should be very well tolerated. But this only applies while you are moving. Even at this temperature, a standing car in the sun with the windows up can reach deadly temperatures quickly.
