My dog has a skin rash. What are the causes and how can I treat it?

It looks like he has a skin infection. You could bathe him with an antibacterial dog shampoo but he will likely need an oral antibiotic to treat the infection. Call your vet and schedule an appointment for treatment.

    Instead of bathing the whole dog you could take a wash cloth and shampoo just the areas where the rash is, ie under his arms. Make sure you rinse it well with the wash cloth. This should work and if you use warm water it should not be too uncomfortable for him.
