My Pomeranian has white worms and bloody diarrhea. Are they tapeworms?

I actually own a pomeranian pet he is feeling uneasy is what I can tell.I can see white worms under him after he wakes up .I am not sure what kind of worms those are.He is facing blood loose motion too.But that is not severe.Are those worms are tapeworms? What should I do now? Please help me with this problem

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It is hard to say what the worms are without being able to see or examine them. If they come from the anus, they must be tapeworms or roundworms. Please, get a wide spectrum worming medication for Jimmy (for example Defender Plus) and administer as soon as possible. You should repeat the treatment in 2 weeks time. However, if Jimmy continues to pass loose stools with blood, you should take him to your local vets for an appointment.
