Why is my dog's leg and head jerking after a recent vet visit?

We visited a new vet's office for a revent bout of finicky eating. Due to covid, my dachshund went in alone. He was alert healthy and trotted nect to thr intake tech. Once inside the vet said she wanted a blood test and urinalysis. When i got him bsck an hour later he was soaking wet covered in his own fur and his front left leg was jerking back and forth very fast. They said maybe he's excited he pooped on the table. Two montgs later limb/head jerking has not stopped and is mostly seen at rest. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund (Miniature Wire Haired) | Male | neutered | 7 years and 10 months old | 9.5 lbs

Hello. I am so sorry for this. I wonder if Hardy suffered a cervical neck injury from being held & struggling. Have you discussed this with the veterinarian, & have they showed any concerns? You may need a CT scan or an MRI to diagnose the problem, but proving that this was the veterinarian's fault will be tough. This is because Dachshunds can be prone to problems with their spine. If you truly believe that your veterinarian is at fault, then you can file a complaint with your state veterinary board . Just search for this under your state's name.
