Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 8 months old | 74 lbs
My dogs paw pads have been ripped off. Probably because he went out to walk on a sunny day outside. All 4 pads have been damaged. The pads have come out in full thickness. So she is unable to walk. She is in pain. She has been started on amoxicillin clavulunate, with silver nitrate gel and poymyxin spray. How much time will be required for the pads to regenerate? Approximately when will be she able to walk? Pls help me.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I am sorry to hear about Daisy. As long as the pads don't become infected, I would expect them to heal within 2-3 weeks. Ripped pads are very painful to dogs. If Daisy was not prescribed painkillers, please take her back to your local vets to get a course of anti-inflammatory medications. She may need stronger pain relief (for example opioids) if anti-inflammatory medications do not provide adequate pain control.
