How to treat a nursing cat's chronic diarrhea after trying meds?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 28 days old

Hello, how can I cure my nursing cat's chronic diarreah if she is eating and drinking, producing diarreah with no blood, but she evacuates every time she gets up or right after eating? She has lost some fur near her anus, too. She has already gone on a probiotic, anti-diarrhea liquid, dewormer, and sensitive food.

Given the amount of treatments that have been tried, a fecal exam and possibly blood work would be recommended to help identify the underlying cause and guide approach. Prescription gastrointestinal diets can help whilst awaiting results
