Dog swallowing a lot and coughing. Is it a throat issue or nausea?

My dog keeps swallow alot and doing a kinda cough noise every once in awhile like something is bothering her throat i can't feel anything nor did anything come up when I put my fingers in her throat..

These signs are usually due to nausea and possible vomit may be noticed in the next hours. Gastrointestinal inflammation is possible and dietary indiscretion is by far the most common cause of it. Should you notice any vomiting, I would suggest to withhold food for the next 6 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitely recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence.
