How much and how often should I feed my 2-month-old Beabull dry food?

Hi, I have a two month old Beabull (English bulldog& Beagle mix). How much and how often should I feed him dry food?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Chuey. He should be fed three times a day, once in the morning, once at noon, and once in the evening. When he is six months of age, you can feed him twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. He should be fed a puppy food until he is one year of age. The bag of food will tell you how much to feed him daily. I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I recommend until about 4 months of age to feed three times per day (divide total daily ration in to 3). Then after 4 months divide the daily ration to twice daily, morning and night. I recommend twice daily feeding from that point on. It is not wrong to feed three times per day longer but I don't think it is necessary, unless it is a toy breed and we are worried about low blood sugar. I hope this helps!

What should be the diet plan for my 3 months beagle puppy?
Ideally he should be fed three times daily up to six months with a good quality commercial diet, which provides a nutritionally balanced diet. Royal Canin and Hills both provide good quality food. After six months feed can be decreased to 2 times daily.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I typically recommend feeding adult dogs twice daily. The bad of food you are feeding will tell you how much to feed daily for her weight. I would split that daily amount into two meals. Kisses to Peppa!

I adopted a 5 month pitbull mix a few days ago and he weighs about 28lbs right now. They didn't tell me how much to feed him so I have been googling it and feeding him accordingly but I figured this would be a better option. He is eating a grain free
As young dogs vary in their activity level I adjust the amount depending on Coso. If he is ravenous at each meal you are not feeding enough. I gradually increase the amount at each feeding so he is hungry at meals and he just finishes the food. If he's starving I feed three meals daily, as he ages and slows down his growth he may not be as hungry then I feed twice daily. I recommend twice daily feeding for life and adjust the amount of food needed to keep him happy and at a normal weight. The feeding amounts on the bag are just guidelines. I'm not sure about what i should to feed my puppy?
Great question! At almost two months of age, Ooge is old enough to be fed a puppy formulated food. It has to be a puppy formulated food because puppies require higher amounts of protein, calcium, and calories than an adult dog. A puppy food will provide everything he needs to grow properly. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. On the bag, there is a daily recommended amount of food, and I would divide that into three equal portions to feed him three times a day, once in the morning, noon, and evening. Once he turns six months old, he can be fed twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. I hope this helps :-)

Congratulations on your new addition! At this age, you should be feeding him 3-4 times per day. The amount depends on the brand of food that you choose to feed. He should be eating puppy food, and if you check the bag, there will be a feeding chart, which will tell you the amount to feed for his weight. This amount is the total amount for the day, and you will want to divide that over the 3-4 meals that you feed him. Hope that helps!

Pedigree puppy food is fine to feed your puppy, but you don't have to mix it with water as he is old enough to eat solid food. That being said, it will do no harm to mix it with the water :-) He should eat three times a day, once in the morning, noon, and evening. Once he is six months old, he can be fed twice a day (morning and evening). I would feed him according to the instructions on the label, and divide it into three equal portions.

Hi my puppy is 4 months old and weighs 36lbs. I know I should feed him three times a day, but is the amount consistent each feeding period. He eats Purina Puppy Chow, it says he should eat 1cup3/4 - 2cup1/3.
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I usually just go in the middle. The bag recommends about 2 cups per day so break that amount into 3 feedings (they don’t have to be equal). Be sure to continue to follow the bag as his age and weight changes. Kisses to Ace!

Congratulations on your new puppy, and good job on trying to be prepared before she comes. Most puppies her age should be fed about 3 times a day for the first few months and then you can transition down to twice a day long term. Most puppies should be on puppy food for the first 12 months. Alternatively you can purchase a dog food that is “formulated for all life stages” and that can be fed in puppyhood as well as adulthood. I recommend you feed dry food that is made for xtra small dogs like this one from Royal Canin. Yes, you can mix some canned food into it as well. It is best to feed multiple small meals per days with these little micro/mini breeds as they tend to get low blood sugar if they go too long between meals. Small meals 3-4 times per day is best - mostly dry food and just a touch of the wet food. Do this until about 6 months of age then you can go to feeding twice per day.
