Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 10 lbs
I have a gabapentin prescription for my one-year-old cat for 100mg to sedate him on a long car ride. I recently got a four-month-old kitten. Can I give him the same medication?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about your kitten. No you cannot do this. The dose will be different because the kitten will weigh less than your one year old cat, and you could accidentally overdose the kitten. Plus you don't know if it's safe for him. Please do not do this. I hope this helps!
