My small dog is constipated. How long does Miralax take to work?

My dog went to the vet for not pooping everyday. They told me to try Miralax first so I am. I gave 1/4th of teaspoon since he’s a small dog. How long does it take to see results from Miralax in a small dog? Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 7 years and 5 months old | 12 lbs

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It usually takes 24-48hrs to work. If Romeo will not have gone to the toilet in the next 24hrs, you should get in touch with your vet and possibly book him in for enema.
