Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 85 lbs
My dog ate a very little piece of deodorant earlier today around 2pm. It is now 11:56pm and he has thrown up twice and is excessively drooling. He is about 85 lbs. I fed him a little bit of white rice to calm his stomach and gave him some water but the drooling has not stopped. Should I be worried?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Royce. Poor boy! It sounds like eating this deodorant has really upset his stomach. The drooling indicates nausea. I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food tonight, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. I hope this helps!
