My 8 year old golden retriever is an excellent swimmer and likes to swim. Do you think it’s necessary to have him wear a life jacket? Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 8 years and 1 month old | 70 lbs

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Beau does not have to wear a life jacket for swimming, he will be able to swim well and safe without it. However, life jacket is an important precaution when he swims in unfamiliar waters, rivers with strong currents, deep lakes etc.
