My cat has a spot on its stomach, could it be a bug from the litter box?

Hello i found this on my cat’s stomach area what could this be? keep in mind i found bugs in his litter box and then i found this on his stomach

Hello and thank you for your questions about Toffee. I recommend to look at that area with a magnifying glass. I can't tell for certain from the photo but if that is an insect, it could be a tick, bed bug, or skin mite. Look for legs or other identifying features. You may also opt to treat Toffee with a product like Revolution Plus which will safely treat ticks and mites in cats (you have ot be very careful, some tick products are toxic to cats). Cats can also get scabs, skin tags and other skin growths. If you don't see any insect features, you may try washing the area once a day with a medicated pet wipe. Don't apply any ointment as Toffee will likely just lick it off. Monitor the lesion for the next 2 weeks. If it is getting worse at any point or is still present in 2 weeks, have Toffee examined by the veterinarian. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry. if Toffee is licking the area, have him wear an elizabethan collar at all times. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
