Hello and thank you for your questions about Mila. From the photos, it looks more like Mila's rectum has scabs and I'm more suspicious that her skin is infected. Dragging her bottom can indicate a few things but the most common are full anal glands or infected anal glands. Dragging her bottom may cause trauma which could look like this. Conversely, if she has an infection on her rectum, it could cause itchiness and this could cause her to drag her bottom as well. I recommend to have her anal glands checked by the veterinarian within the next 1-2 days. At home, have her wear an elizabethan collar at all times to prevent licking. Gently wash the rectum once a day and rinse well. Once it it dry, apply a small amount of organic coconut oil to the area and rub in well. This can help with inflammation as well as condition the skin. Do this twice a day. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Thank you for clarifying what Mila is doing? Scooting the bottom is a sign of an itchy bottom, and is likely due to intestinal worms or impacted anal sacs. If she isn't up to date on her deworming treatments, you will need to get one from the vet. You can also check with the vet to see if her anal glands need expressed.

Bayla is so cute! She could have intestinal worms or her anal sacs could be impacted causing her scooting. I would take her into the vet in the morning, and bring along a sample of her feces. The vet can examine her feces under a microscope to see if she has intestinal worms, and can express her anal sacs as needed. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
