What's this bump on my puppy's eyelid? Bug bite, stye, or something?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Lakota and for providing a picture, it's very helpful. It could be a bug bite but it could be a stye. Take a warm compress, and apply it to the area for five minutes at a time a couple of times a day to see if that helps it drain. If it gets bigger, starts to bother her, doesn't go down in a day or two, or appears infected, have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

    This could be a sty/ infected gland. Sometimes a warm compress several times a day will help. However sometimes it has to be drained by a veterinarian. If it doesn't improve with warm compresses you should have a veterinarian examine Thor.

    Dogs typically do not get a sty. This looks more like a little wart (benign tumor) or similar lesion,. Monitor it and if it grows have your veterinarian examine the mass. It is likely something harmless, however if it changes in shape, color or significantly in size, it needs to be checked by a vet.

    That mass on Chip’s eye could be something like a sty but a tumor is also possible. You can continue to apply the warm compress and see how it goes over the next couple days. Stys may ruptured or sometimes just shrink. A tumor will generally never go away and may get bigger. A visit to your veterinarian may also help to get a diagnosis faster. Hi there, I'm concerned at the size and redness of the bump, this might be a stye or something that similar that is infected. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This looks fairly small and mild. This could have been a bug bite or even something like due to irritation. I would continue to monitor him for now. If this gets any larger or starts bothering him, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Otherwise, this is likely going to go away on its own. Best of luck!

Can you tell me what the lump could be under her eye
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco! From the pictures and seeing that Maya is 3 months old, I would suspect that this is from a bug bite or something poked her in that area causing a raised bump. This could become infected so I would keep an eye on this. If after 3-5 days it does not resolve or it worsens, I would recommend taking her in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. It very definitely can be an allergic reaction to a sting or bite. If it is not bothering him, then there is probably not too much to worry about, You can apply a cold compress to the area ( a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel works well ) for 5-10 minutes every hour or so, but if he begins whining, scratching his face, or pawing at his eyes, you may need to run him in to your vet for steroids, &/or antihistamines. Hopefully, it will start to go down soon. Take care.

Hi! So I just got home and noticed this on my dogs eye. She doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort but it’s very strange because I don’t recall noticing it last night. I was thinking she might’ve scratched herself by accident however there is no blood

I'd try applying a warm compress to it five minutes a day a couple times a day to see if that helps open it up and drain. If this does not help, it gets bigger, starts bleeding or has pus, or it starts to bother her, then I would have her seen by a vet for it. I hope this helps!

My 18 mo old mixed boxer has a “pimple like” bump that appeared on her lower eyelid. She is fine with me touching it, it doesn’t seem to bother her. But it has increased in size in the last 2-3 weeks.
The most common reason that we will see white bumps develop on the edge of the eyelid is something called a chalazion. This is similar to a stye, but is not generally inflamed or painful. Sometimes we will use antibiotic eye drops or ointment if the area is red, but they will normally resolve on their own (but this can sometimes take a couple of months). Sometimes using a warm washcloth on the area for a few minutes twice a day can help, but some dogs do not tolerate this well. If the area continues to get larger, appears red or irritated, or does not resolve in a couple of months, I would certainly recommend having your veterinarian examine it. Good luck! Hello my puppy just woke up with a pink bump on his upper eye lid I’m really concerned
It may just be a stye or even an insect bite. As long as it isn't bothering him, I wouldn't be worried about it and just recommend monitoring it. A lot of times these go away on their own. However, if it is bothering him I would recommend placing an e-collar on him to prevent him from rubbing his face for now, then get him seen by your vet for medications to help it resolve. Hi! My 4 year old terrier mix developed this bump underneath his left eye within the last 24 hours. It doesn’t seem to bother him or affect his vision. Should we see our vet immediately? Thank you!
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Based on the photo, the swelling could be from a number of things. This could be from an insect bite / sting, an infection or a cyst. Since this just showed up in the last 24 hours, the likelihood of this being a cyst is small. I would say this is more likely from an insect bite / sting. I would recommend applying a warm compress to the area (warm water washcloth) several times a day and consider giving Benadryl. Ronald has what looks like a pimple or stye on his eyelid. Hoping it's not the start of an infection. It doesn't seem to be hurting him. Any ideas/advice?
It could be local infection or inflammation. Monitor for rapid change or growth. If he is pawing at it or rubbing, place an e-collar (cone) on him and have it examined in person by your veterinarian.
