Hi my 10 week old West Highland White Terrier (approx. 3.6 pounds) just ate a geranium petal. I am very nervous that this may hurt her. What should we do?

There are two types of geranium - the genus Geranium (cranesbill) is not toxic and will not cause any complications. The Pelargonium genus is toxic in sufficinet doses, epecially the leaves and stems so monitor closely and contact your emergency vet if signs or symptoms develop (vomiting, lethargy, depression) akthough these would not be expected if only a single petal was ingested https://www.allwoods.net/post/geranium-vs-pelargonium-what-s-the-difference
