I need to know if my cat has a skin tag on his back, if it’s something worse, or if it is no big deal. It currently has a scab on part of it as we accidentally cut it when shaving him. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Male | neutered | 13 years and 10 months old | 16 lbs

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It looks like a skin growth. If it is bleeding, getting bigger or causing discomfort to Cosmo, you should take him to your local vet for an appointment to rule out malignant skin mass. It it stays small and is not bothering your cat, you can monitor it at home for now.
