I have a spet sparrow- about one year old. She has been having watery stools for 2 days- maybe a little more in volume. She does not appear ill or her behavior unchanged. I am running low on live mealworms and have been feeding her a little more apple than usual. If the apple is the cause, will it correct itself when I stop feeding it or is ther acommon sense, household/ food I can give to correct it? Also , I've been feeding her the meal worm nymphs ( that precede the beetles) as I am lob

Thanks for reaching out about BirDee. The increased apple could lead to more urine or a diarrhea. The sugar content could encourage abnormal bacterial overgrowth, requiring antibiotics to treat. A diet in mostly mealworms could lead to multiple deficiencies. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Good luck.
