My cat has megacolon. What's the best food to manage her constipation?

Hi I have a female cat, 4 yrs old who has been diagnosed with megacolon and has been constipated her whole life. She has received one enema under sedation and two water / lactulose enemas over the past month. Her appetite isn't the same, she used to eat a lot. She was prescribed with Hill's Diet W/D but refuses to eat it. What is the best cat food to manage her megacolon? I'm also giving her 2 ml of lactulose a day when she doesn't move her bowels. Any other suggestions to help her? Thank you! Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | spayed | 4 years and 8 months old | 9.1 lbs

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Feeding high fibre food is the key in managing megacolon. Please, try Royal Canin Fibre Response - it is a very good diet that hopefully will be more tasty for Yzma than Hill's.
