My dog's vomiting 24 hours, not eating, but seems normal. What to do?

My dog has been vomiting everything including water but is acting normal. Except lack of appetite. It has been roughly 24 hours. We thought she was better when she drank and ate last night. Only to find vomit this morning. What should I do

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Ellie. Poor girl! She could have a severe stomach illness causing her symptoms, or a foreign body or pancreatitis. Given that she has been vomiting for over 24 hours, it's time to see the vet. She needs a shot to stop the vomiting, IV fluids for hydration, and any other treatment the vet deems necessary. The vet can also diagnose the cause of her vomiting. I hope this helps!

It could be Chloe has a severe stomach illness, may have eaten something rotten,could have a foreign body, or pancreatitis. It's very concerning that she has been vomiting and not eating for the past 24 hours. I'd have her seen by a vet now to have this diagnosed and treated. I hope this helps!

what is the medicine for dog if vomiting , detained and no appetite?
If Shieyah is vomiting and not stopping I would recommend a veterinarian. They can provide a medication to stop the vomiting and make sure it is nothing to be concerned about, like pancreatitis or even a foreign body. If she vomited once. I would withhold food for about 6 hours and rec small multiple meals of boiled chicken and white rice or a prescription bland diet. If she gets worse after this then she needs to see a veterinarian. Hello. There are just so many reasons why a dog vomits, but it is important not to let things go too long. Vomiting can occur from bacterial & viral infections, inflammation, eating something inappropriate like garbage or something foreign, a twist in the intestines or any number of other things that makes poor Evie nauseous. The biggest concern would be the loss of electrolytes, sodium, potassium & chlorides, & severe dehydration, especially if she develops any diarrhea. The longer this goes on, the sicker she will become. You do not want to feed her if she is vomiting, & if she seems thirsty, throws up water, you can give her a bowl of ice cubes to lick on. With such a small dog, you do not want her to go through the weekend with this, so if she is still unable to eat & continues to vomit, you must see your veterinarian by tomorrow. Hopefully, they can find the reason for her vomiting, if not, we have very good medications & treatments to make her much more comfortable until s

Miss Cally started vomiting yesterday morning. At first it was food. Last night it was water, spit, and watery food. (She was a rescue. When we first got her she was in and out of heat and did the same thing when in heat. She's been spayed since and
Poor Cally! The vomiting could be due to many conditions including eating something she shouldn't have, bacterial over growth, parasites (worms and giardia) or even something more severe like organ dysfunction or intestinal blockage. Pets who vomit beyond 24 hours need to be examined and I recommend to have Cally examined by the veterinarian today. Try to remember to take in a stool sample. The doctor will check her for parasites and bacterial. Other diagnostics may be recommended as well. Many times a bland diet can help and then a slow, gradual introduction to the normal food can be done. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. This should all be plain. I hope Cally starts feeling better quickly! Please feel free to post any additional questions!

Grace has refused eating since morning , she has an upset stomach and we can hear her stomach growling. She is not in pain I am sure about that. At 10 pm I took her out and whilst doing that she ate grass and threw up now it's 3pm still refuses eatin
Since last night was Halloween, think about if there's anything she could have eaten that she shouldn't have and take her to the vet ASAP if you realize your chocolate stash or your entire pan of bacon wrapped something or anothers from the potluck is missing. If you can't think of anything she ate, it's generally ok to wait 24 hours to see if she get back on her food naturally. Sometimes something goes wrong in the gut and we don't know why but it resolves quickly. If she's not back to normal in 24 hours, or has any vomiting or diarrhea in the mean time, she needs to go to her vet for evaluation and supportive care. I don't think this is urgent at all. I think you should fast Ellie for the next 24 hours and see if she continues to have any more vomiting episodes. If there is more than two more, I would consider getting her in somewhere to get checked out. Otherwise, after the fasting period feed something bland for a day or two before resuming regular diet. Try boiled chicken and rice or boiled hamburger. You can also try and obtain Ellie's temperature at home to check for fever (normal is between 99 and 102.5). Take a look at the gums to verify a nice and pink color and moist consistency. Hope this helps. I'm sure Ellie will be just fine and probably just ate something that upset her.

My dog has been vomiting throughout the day, not sure if it something stuck in his throat (such as a piece of raw bone) or a stmach aggravation.
Vomiting is a very vague sign and could indicate several different things going on. Some of the more common causes of vomiting include intestinal parasites, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach wall), pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, or a foreign body/blockage. If he has been sick for more than 2 days I would recommend taking him to the vet. He may be dehydrated and need fluids as well as some antinausea medication to help stop the vomiting. Your vet may also want to run some lab work and take x-rays as well. In the meantime, try withholding food (water is ok) for 12-24 hours to see if this helps settle the stomach. When it is time to offer food again you may want to try and feed him something easily digestible like plain boiled chicken and rice and see if he can keep it down. I hope this helps. My dog is about nine months old. She has diarrhea, she does not eat any of her dog foods, and she threw up a couple of days ago. Should I be concerned?
Dogs with vomiting and diarrhea that are not improving within 24 hours should be seen by a veterinarian. Intestinal foreign body, intestinal parasites, and parvovirus are among the common causes in young dogs. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. My dog has been throwing up for 3 days and he hasn't been able to keep any thing down until today I have been giving him water in small amounts all day he has kept it down but he still won't eat anything

Vomiting and loss of appetite can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Lucky evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid he is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck!

This is not specific to any disease, but indicates that something is affecting her gastrointestinal tract. In a young dog, this is often due to an infection.
