My dog accidentally ate a human Dexilant pill. Should I be concerned?

I have my 85 lb dog a 60mg Dexilant pill. Will he be ok?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Hudson. He should be ok. While Dexilant isn't a drug regularly used in veterinary medicine, I found information that states "According to toxicity studies there was no effect from the drug on dogs when given at a dose of 5mg per kilogram (2.2 pounds) of body weight for several days in a row." With his weight of 85 pounds, there will be no issues. Just do not give him anymore. I hope this helps!
