My dog has multiple spots on her stomach and chest. Should I worry?

Hi. Is this something I should be concerned about? Calling her vet in the morning to see if they can squeeze us in. She has about 7 or these across her stomach and chest area. Thanks!

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Daisee. Oh yes, those are concerning! I'm not sure what they are, it could be ringworm, but it definitely needs to be checked out by a vet. I would call her vet in the morning. I hope this helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This looks like a focal infection. These are called pustules and likely contain pus. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and best wishes!

we left her with a relative for the past week for thanksgiving, and when we picked her up it seems what we thought were just a few spots travelled all the way up her belly towards her neck
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This looks like a focal infection. You can try to use a chlorhexidine containing shampoo to bathe her twice weekly for a week. You may find these online or at your local pet store. If there is no improvement or in the meantime this appears to be getting worse, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is likely some local irritation. This may be due to allergies for example. It may be an allergy to something specific in the environment or something else like fleas or food. This may go away on its own if it is something minor. My dog has patches or spots on her stomach and I was wondering what they are
Those spots could be normal skin changes for your dog, areas of chronic irritation such as from grass or laying on a rough surface, or rarely an auto immune disease. If they start increase in size, number, have any sort of redness or appear raw/ulcerated she get checked out by a veterinarian. For now I would recommend monitoring them and no special shampoo should be needed.

My dog has brownish flat spots on her belly it started really small and now it’s all over her stomach chest area. She is 14. It seems to be peeling in some areas but doesn’t feel really dry. It almost feels oily. What could it be? How can I fix it?
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Judging from the picture you provided, I suspect that Baby may be dealing with a bacterial skin infection. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Baby so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Baby will likely need to go on a course of an oral antibiotic and topical therapy such as a shampoo and spray. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. My puppy had a red spot on him last night. It disappeared. But now today there are two spots in different locations on his tummy. Should I be worried?
Hello and thank you for contacting Boop by Petco. The spots look unusual. They don't look like typical allergic reaction, infection or parasite infestation. Maybe Benny was bitten by a bug or a tick ? Please, take Benny to your local vet for full clinical examination. Your vet may recommend blood test to check his platelet count and skin testing to find out what is going on. Benny will likely need an anti-inflammatory medication in cream or ointment for a few days.

My dog has some spots all over her belly and her bag is red and swollen and it's itching her like crazy what can I do for her
Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Daje. Poor girl sounds miserable. Take a cup of oatmeal, and put it into a blender to make a fine powder. Then add it to a warm bath, and put her in it. That may help temporarily soothe her skin. First thing in the morning, have her seen by a vet to diagnose the cause of the skin problem so she can get treated. I hope this helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be a benign or malignant growth. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. My dog has a few black dots on his belly and one is a red on his skin and a black pimple that is black
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Judging from the photo, these look to be cutaneous hemangiomas, which are typically benign. However, these can turn into malignant cancerous tumors if not addressed early enough. I recommend having these removed before they turn into cancerous tumors. These superficial skin tumors are typically removed using electrocautery. Removal is typically simple and requires no major aftercare for healing. I hope this helps! I don’t know what this but they are on my dogs stomach.
This could potentially be a skin infection, but without seeing Dixie in person, I can't say for certain. Give her vet a call in the morning to make her an appointment to have this seen. Best of luck.
