Hello and thank you for your question. I recommend to have your pup examined by the veterinarian. Skin masses can be many things but red/pink raised masses are especially concerning for a skin cancer called a Mast Cell tumor. This cancer can spread to the internal organs. Your veterinarian will need to collect a sample of cell to examine under the microscope to determine what this is and if further treatment is needed. Have this checked out soon. Fingers crossed this is not a MCT and is something benign instead but you can't tell by looks. I hope this helps.

It is possible that it is a local reaction from a bite or a sting, but I would also worry about it being a skin tumor. Mast cell tumors or histiocytomas can have that same appearance. Do not squeeze it or irritate it much as it can cause it to spread if it is a mast cell tumor. You can apply cortisone cream to help with the redness tonight, but it will need to be checked by your vet to find out for sure what it is. It is rare that it will rupture in a short time frame, so I would not worry about that.
