Cat losing weight, thirsty, hair loss after new dog: stress or illness?

My cat is suddenly losing weight, experiencing some hair loss above her eyes and has excessive thirstiness. We recently just adopted a big dog. Is this stress or a more serious underlying problem? I’ve included photos of what she normally looks like vs now. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 9 years and 1 month old | 7 lbs

Since you adopted a new dog, this could be due to stress but it could also be due to a medical condition like hyperthyroidism or diabetes. I recommend having Rosie seen by a vet for a geriatric blood panel and urinalysis. I hope this helps!
