Senior cat lost tooth, won't chew dry food. Easy feeding tips?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | 12 years and 11 months old

Hello! My tabby cat is 13 years old and recently lost a tooth, so I took him to the vet and they told us to feed him wet food now because he was throwing up his dry food. He seems to not chew his dry food. Is there any other suggestions? My schedule varies so it is hard to get him fed with wet food.

You can try soaking Ocean's dry food with chicken broth to make it softer for him to eat. You can also mix in wet food with his dry food to see if that makes it easier for him to eat. I hope this helps!
