Poor Sergio. If he is eating a different diet than he was before, that could be causing the stomach upset and diarrhea. It could also be that he is sick. Because he is vomiting, having diarrhea, and there appears to be blood in it, he's too sick for a home remedy. I'd take him into a vet immediately to get this treated. Best of luck.

    BoJack is so handsome, congrats on your new cat! Yes, bloody diarrhea can be a cause for concern, but because he is otherwise acting normally, it could be stress from moving into a new home. It could also be due to a diet change if you are feeding him a different food from what he got at the shelter. I would keep an eye on him, and if the bloody diarrhea continues over the next 24-48 hours, I would have him checked out by a vet. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

The blood you are seeing in the stools may be stress colitis. I suggest you do the following: 1. I recently adopted a cat, whose blood results and overall health came back perfect. He has been pooping diarrhea on and off, but now it is steady and contains mucous-y blood. He received 2 dewormers on Monday, Sept 4th. Blood has not subsided.
This may be a bacterial infection or diet or stress related. Since it is getting worse I would have a fecal exam redone to check for bacteria or giardia. They may recommend a probiotic to help with stress and a diet change temporarily to something easier to digest.

I've been feeding my cat 9lives cat food, before I knew a lot of people had issues with that brand. Well now my cat has been throwing up, and blood in his stool.
Poor Sebastian! While this vomiting could be caused by his food, if he's been on it a while, then it's more likely caused by something else. Vomiting and blood in the stool can be caused by a severe GI illness, a foreign body, severe intestinal parasite infection, GI ulcers, or exposure to toxins. Because blood in the stool is not normal and can be caused by serious illness, it would be best that he is taken into a vet now for an exam. The vet can diagnose what is causing the vomiting and bloody stool, and can treat him for it.

Given that he has been on the streets, he likely has intestinal worms, and will need a deworming treatment. I would have him seen by a vet first thing tomorrow for a physical exam, blood tests, and urinalysis. It may also be advisable to test him for FIV and FeLV since he's been out on the streets. The vaccines he needs includes FVRCP and rabies. He will also need flea treatments and heartworm treatment, and he should be tested for heartworms before getting the heartworm treatment.

It's not uncommon to see vomiting/diarrhea from a cat from a shelter. Pogba could have a mild G.I. infection was something like G.I. parasites or a bacteria. It also could be due to recent diet change. The sneezing could also indicate a mild upper respiratory tract infection. If any of those signs continue I recommend Pogba get looked at by a veterinarian to make sure nothing more serious is going on and that no medication as needed. However if Pogba stays bright and alert, is eating and drinking and the diarrhea resolves as well as the vomiting it should be OK to monitor him at home.

I'm sorry to hear that Casper has had so much diarrhea lately! Yes, it is certainly possible that the stress of his visitor coupled with his ingestion of the other cat's food and treats could have caused some gastroenteritis (inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract), which led to diarrhea. A bit of blood can occur in the stool as a result of irritation to the colon. If Casper is still eating, drinking and acting relatively normally, you can try a home remedy. Start by withholding food for 24 hours, then offer a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken for a few days before gradually mixing his normal food with the boiled chicken over another 5-7 days. If at any point Casper becomes lethargic, starts vomiting, has profuse bloody diarrhea, or stops eating, he will need to take a trip to the vet for further evaluation. HI, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Milo! He is very cute! It sounds like Milo is suffering from a bad gastro-intestinal problem. Since Milo hasn't eaten for days he needs to see at Veterinarian as soon as possible. Cats can not go many days with out eating, they can get very sick and form fatty liver syndrome. Causes of vomiting and diarrhea in kittens: intestinal parasites, feline leukemia, feline infectious peritonitis, toxin ingestion, viral or bacterial infections, pancreatitis, food allergy or intolerance, ate something that is upsetting his stomach or an intestinal foreign body (something is stuck). At this time the best thing for Milo is veterinary care. I hope this helps and I wish Milo a speedy recovery!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Pamo! Causes of vomiting and diarrhea in young cats are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, food allergy or intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, toxin ingestion. I recommend having your Vet check a stool sample and I recommend deworming him again, even if it is negative. Since multiple attempts at fasting hasn't helped the diarrhea I think Pamo should see a Vet for an exam. He may need a course of antibiotics to help his diarrhea. I also think probiotics can be helpful, I like Purina Fortiflora. If you recently gave him a new treat or changed his food before the vomiting and diarrhea started I would stop that food/treat and go back to your original food. I would recommend taking your kitten in to be evaluated by a veterinarian. Your kitten is most likely suffering from intestinal parasites, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Hello- Sudden diet changes can cause both diarrhea as well as constipation. The blood could indicate significant inflammation in the colon from diarrhea, diet changes, an infection and/or other causes. Anytime there's blood in the stools it is recommended your pet see their veterinarian as some cases require antibiotics and possibly fluids as the diarrhea and inflammation can cause dehydration.
