My cat left a greenish puddle near litter box. Is it urine or vomit?

Hello. My 3 year old cat had an accident just in front of her littler box. She’s never done that before. It was greenish in colour. The reason I suspect urine and NOT vomit, is there was no chunks or foam in it. It wasn’t dry, so I suspect it’s new.

Poor Ovey. It still could be vomit even if there isn't chunks or foam in it. I'd keep a close eye on her for now. If you see another accident like this, she is lethargic, has diarrhea, or h as a loss of appetite, take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

Not positive but my cat was the only one out here and there's a yellow orange color i think it may be thicker than it should be spot on my floor .... It doesn't really have a smell. At least I can't really smell anything from it....
This could be very concentrated urine or it could be vomit. If it was urine in that concentrated I would expect it to have some odor to it. I would recommend you monitor your cat for any other signs such as not eating, decreased activity (which I know can be hard to detect in cats), monitor his litter box use as well as for any vomiting. If you see any of those your cat should be examined by a veterinarian. Otherwise if your cat is acting 100% normal it may be OK to just monitor at home for now.

My cat vomited undigested food last night and again today. Her faeces looked a greenish colour this morning, but are not loose. Should I be concerned? She's playing, eating and drinking normally.
Hi there! Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Vomiting is sometimes seen with conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis and chronic kidney disease, among many other conditions. Given Leia's young age and the fact that she is otherwise doing fine, dietary indiscretion appears more likely. It may be something as easy as just changing her diet to something that she can tolerate better. However, an examination by a veterinarian as well as minimal diagnostic data would be needed to rule out more concerning things. You can start by changing her diet to a sensitive stomach type diet. If no improvement, have her examined by a veterinarian to start therapy if needed based on findings. Good luck!

Hello, and thank you for your question! This looks like vomit. Is Stella otherwise acting and eating normally? If so, I would monitor her for now. Offer her smaller meals more frequently, to ensure she is not vomiting due to resting too quickly. If she vomits again in the next 24 hours, or if she seems more lethargic or disinterested in her food, then I would recommend seeking veterinary attention. If the liquid is urine, then I would be concerned about her kidney function because the brown color could suggest blood in the urine or possibly toxin ingestion. If the liquid is feces then she likely has severe diarrhea that could lead to dehydration. Either way, it is important that you take Willow to a veterinarian to figure out what is going on and to get her treated.

Hello, it does indeed look like vomit with some undigested food. If he continues to have some vomiting then I would recommend having him evaluated by his veterinarian especially if he vomits more than 4 times in one day. Hope this helps and best of luck.

please help me with my cat shes not even a year old, but her symptoms include - vomiting - dark urine - also she is peeing everywhere all over the house and in garage, she was useing the litter box fine but all of a sudden shes peeing everywhere
Poor Luna. The dark urine could be due to her being dehydrated, which could be caused by the vomiting. Vomiting could be cause by a GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or pancreatitis to name a few causes. She may be peeing everywhere the house due to feeling ill. This cannot be treated at home, you need to take her into a vet immediately.

I wanted to add, since you didn't mention if he has been urinating or not - one possible cause of vomiting in male cats is a urinary obstruction, which is a medical emergency if it occurs. If he hasn't urinated in the past 24 hours, or if he is straining in the litter box or seems painful when you touch his belly, I would take him to the vet right away as this is a problem that requires immediate treatment.

Hi! When I woke up this morning I noticed my cat threw up. It was yellow with green clumps. I’ve never seen this consistency before so I was kind of concerned. She seems perfectly fine now and is running around happy. Is there any reason for concern?
If she only vomited one time and seems perfectly fine then I don't think there is a cause for concern. If the vomiting continues, she has a decreased appetite, or is lethargic then she should be examined by a vet for treatment.

Vomiting a dark green fluid can be a sign of a gall bladder disorder (mucocele or stones) pancreatitis, liver disease or an intestinal obstruction which are all concerning health conditions. Cat vomited 3 times in 4 hours, 2 times was good, 3rd time was bile, she also has soft slimey looking stool. Can I let this pass with time?
Poor girl, her intestines are definitely not feeling very good. I'd recommend looking/thinking about anything in your house that she could have eaten, paying particular attention to new plants you might have in the home for the holidays. If you can't find anything, and she's otherwise normal (eating, drinking, moving around), it's ok to wait to see if the vomiting continues today. If it continues or you see any of the previous symptoms, or think of a toxin or object she might have eaten, she needs to go to the vet tonight or tomorrow. Good luck!!
