My dog's paw pad is cut deep. Does he need a vet or can I treat it?

My border collie has somehow lacerated his R carpal pad. I noticed it yesterday when he had a slight limp. It has not bled, and no drainage present. However it seems to be about 1/2 inch deep and it’s severed about 75% of the top of the pad. I’ve been cleaning it with Hibiclens and applying neosporin BID. I only wrapped it once but that seemed to have bothered him more. Wondering if I should take him to the vet? He doesn’t seem to be in pain, and still tries to jump on me. Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | unneutered | 42 lbs

This should probably heal up just fine. Just keep it clean with the Hibiclens and apply the Neosporin twice a day. It is best to leave it open and not bandage it.
